“Where to go:”

It’s finally time to travel again and Zanzibar has been on the top of my list since forever. We planned this trip before everything closed, so it was going to be for sure our first destination. Colder days are arriving in Barcelona, a sunny getaway was everything we needed. Palm trees, coconut water, white sand beaches, turquoise blue waters, endless mangoes, does it get any better?

“Where to sleep:”

After intensive research, and I must say I LOVE this process once planning a trip, we had a few favourites, we stayed in two properties on different parts of the island (it’s bigger than you think). White Sand Villas was a DREAM, eco-friendly and very unique, only eleven private villas at the most beautiful Paje beach, morning runs here where everything. On the west part, we stayed at amazing The Residence Hotel, the pool villas, especially ours: number 100, were the most special place for sunset, it couldn’t get more unique. Other properties I would recommend are Zuri Zanzibar and Kilindi.

“Where to eat: ”

Pretty much all properties offer half board, we normally woke up and went for an adventure such as snorkelling, diving with the dolphins, all these activities ended up with lunch, BUT you can’t miss THE ROCK, it’s actually a rock in the middle of the sea, and offers beautiful fresh seafood.

“What to do:”

There are so many things to do, especially water-related, go swim with the dolphins, explore the marine fauna in Mnemba island, try going on a run by the beach at sunrise or dawn, or you can just relax, enjoy a good book, meditations, yoga… it’s the perfect place to escape. Stone Town it’s also worth a day to visit and know all about them and their culture.

“What to wear:”

In Zanzibar it gets really hot, I loved this fresh collection, full of linens, beautiful skirts and little tops which can be worn differently. Definitely, my favourite sets were the brown set and the delicate linen bralette and pareo skirt.
