A Traveller’s Guide To Milan

Hanna MW, the stylist behind our latest campaign, shares her recommendations for the Italian city.

Where to eat

Trattoria Torre di Pisa

My favourite restaurant in Milan, for date night or dinner with a group of friends. It’s so charming and classy in the most perfect Italian way.

Da Giacomo

I don’t think I’ve ever been in Milan without a stop at Giacomo, it might be a little too instagrammed by now but it’s too good to not book a table here and it’s as beautiful as it looks. Best Spaghetti Vongole in town.

À Santa Lucia

A good spot for lunch into the city centre, always so many up-dressed elderly people to look at.

All’Antico Vinaio

Perfect take away lunch, my favourite one is the one with pistachios cream and truffle.

Bice Milano

If you’re shopping in the city centre this is a perfect spot for a good lunch.

Trattoria Madonnina

A messy and lovely trattoria, perfect for a late night dinner with a group of friends.

Where to drink

Bar Paradiso

A lovely wine bar with a good natural wine selection, the mood here is always so lovely. Would go here rather before or after the dinner for a glass.

Bar basso

The perfect place for drinks.

What to see and do

Villa Necchi

A must visit, take a coffee and a croissant in the garden and then participate in a guided tour around the house.

Villa Borsani

A residence envisioned by Osvaldo Borsani, one of the most beautiful architectural homes I’ve ever been to.

Libraccio

A book store well worth visiting, with a very good selection of books.

Pavé

Cute bakery for breakfast or a coffee during the day.

Where to stay

Crossing Manzoni

A boutique hotel that spans two floors of a neoclassical Milanese building, shared by local families who have lived there for generations.

Galleria Vik Milano

A hotel located inside the iconic Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II. A  truly unique stay that puts you in the heart of Milan.

Vico Milano

Set in a sunny Italian courtyard and filled with the owner’s personal art and antique collection.

Max Brown Missori

Centrally located near the famous Duomo and has some gorgeous personal touches like a record player in every room.
