A top 5 guide through the beautiful Balearic Island of Mallorca with Faithfull Girl Belen Hostalet.
Nothing beats euro summer, and Mallorca is definitely worth the trip. Travelling from Barcelona is super easy, and so I always try to escape to the Balearic Islands when in need of disconnection and try to slow down things a little bit by dedicating some time to relax, read and enjoy the company: disconnect to reconnect.
I will never get tired of Belmond La Residencia, it’s the dreamiest property in Deia, a little artists' town located in the northern part of the island, and personally, my favourite one.
Mallorca has become a foodie place, but since we are staying in the north, I will recommend of course: Es Patro March in Cala Deià, only 5 minutes drive from the hotel: food is the yummiest, and the location is insane, just on top of Cala Deia, with magnificent views. Another beautiful option is El olivo restaurant, located at the Belmond property, this restaurant is insane, the food is top quality and the afternoon light breaks my heart every time.
I would personally recommend renting a car and visiting many of the Calas (little beaches secluded between rocks or mountains), Cala Deia is beautiful and very convenient if you are around the north. But next to Satanyi town you have: Calla Llombards and Caló d’es Moro, which are the fantasy of any traveller, clear blue waters, little fisherman houses, just BEAUTIFUL. And of course, visit Palma old town and the amazing Cathedral.
Prepare yourself for the heat, Mallorca gets really hot in summer, so I always tend to wear linen skirts and cute tops, love mix and match some printed pieces with plane ones, and I love wearing black in summer. On the other hand I love super colorful bikinis, this bright pink swim set stole my heart and it’s super flattering.
