My name is Michaela Wissen, Im 28 years old. Ive spent my whole life between the US and Sweden. I work as a photographer, alongside instagram, but I also have a big love for music. I compose classical music  on the side, and have dreams of focusing more on my music in the future.

I was thrown into it when I was 18. I worked as a concert photographer for 2 years, and really had never held a camera before and had no idea what I was doing, but found that I loved to capture moments. When I moved to LA at the age of 20 my girlfriends and I would drive along PCH, with a car full of clothes and shoot each other all day. We started a photography blog, and I started posting my photos on instagram, and from then on photography slowly started becoming a career for me. But it really was a passion that became so much more.

Traveling and meeting new people, it really opens my eyes to different perspectives in all aspects which is super inspiring. Im also super inspired by other artists and our beautiful Mother Earth.

Last summer we sailed through the Gulf of Naples, Italy - when you manage to find places with only Italian tourists, you know your vacationing in the right places. There’s also something about falling asleep and waking up on a sailboat that makes me so happy. We sailed alongside dolphins, ate the freshest pasta, swam for hours and had the best time. It really is unbeatable.

I’ll be taking the first flight to Mallorca, Spain. One of my favorite places, and a place I’ve been visiting frequently for the past 10 years.

Life is so unpredictable, and short, and it is so important to not take anything for granted.
