We spoke to #Faithfullgirl Anna-Sophie Mungenast about who she is and her recent getaway to the picture perfect backdrop of Lamu Island, Kenya.
"Hi! My name is Anna-Sophie and I am an model and producer based in London. I organize fashion shoots in fabulous locations around the world, hence traveling is a really big part of my life."
"Kenya is hands down one of the most wonderful countries I have ever been to. The people are incredibly kind and welcoming and being by the equator, surrounded by wild animals, enormous national parks and the sea, makes you feel alive and how powerful nature is. Even the sun, the moon and the stars feel closer and more majestic."
"I suggest to do a safari for a couple of days and then head to Lamu Island. In Shela you can find loads of beautifully designed houses on airbnb. Visit Lamu Town’s most vibrant and colorful little market and experience their culture. Have the Swahili curry at Peponis and try some samosas they sell by the beach."
"From Lamu you can take a speed boat 2 hours down the coast to Kiwayu, which is a small island situated in the Kiungo Marine National Reserve. There is only one option of where to stay and that is Mikes Camp. It is very simple, but you are in paradise surrounded by vast empty white sand beaches, mangroves and only a small fishing village."
"As you can tell on my photos, I travelled very light and more or less only brought sunglasses, 4 faithfull the brand dresses, bikinis, a linen shirt and a faithfull the brand sunhat. You also need a light shawl to cover your shoulders when you explore small muslim towns. My faithfull the brand capsule collection was ideal, as it just went well with all occasions."
"It is key for me to feel comfortable in my travel attire and I loved the materials from rayon to linen and cotton blends. While I personally put comfort over looks when I go off on adventures, I am so thrilled to have looked stylish along the way and now looking back on my photos it is double fun.”
