“Jamie, please introduce yourself.”

"Father, husband, Photographer and Director. I currently live in Byron Bay where you'll find me chasing around my 9 month old or diving with turtles."

“How did you discover your love of photography and motion, specifically film?”

"Hmm I think it found me, my now wife and I moved to Byron just over 6 years ago. I was working in social enterprise at the time but I started to take photos for my wife then some brands asked if I could shoot for them and the love affair began. Since then, I've taken a deep dive into all things Photography and Film. I started to watch a lot of my favourite directors work on repeat (Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino) and apply some of that thinking to my work, everything is a movie in my eyes."

“How would you best describe your work?”

"Curated but fluid. I like to have a plan and understand how to light the scene for the best result, but then encourage the model to bring out their best self, drawing out something special then capturing that moment."

“We recently shot in the hillside of Byron Bay with you – what do you love most about living in this creativity-fueled beachside town?”

"AH THAT HILL! insane, What I love about Byron the most is the people it attracts, my friends all inspire me, people are doing great stuff you know, they are here living very different lives to the 9-5. It's very inspiring."
