The beautiful beach of Platja De Sea Illetes is a popular destination, with its stretched out white sands, glistening blue waters and easy access from the port, making this a perfect day out for those visiting the area. For a lesser-known beach, make time to head to the small cove of Cala Saona, known as the jewel of the west coast of Formentera. This cove tucked away on the Western Coast is the only sandy beach that exists throughout the southwestern part of the Island. With glistening blue waters nestled between cliff coastlines, this beach offers a range of activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking or snorkelling.
Set aside some to explore the bustling market stores of Formentera. There is the popular hippie ‘Mercat de La Mola’ with hand-crafted trinkets from the local community, located on the southern tip of the Island. Another of Formentera’s night markets includes the 'Las Dalias Markets' where you can pick up authentic handicrafts, explore the good trucks and enjoy the live music.
