“Tell us about your professional background and how you found yourself working as stylist and creative within the industry:”

My background is in textiles and trend forecasting however styling has always been an expression for me. I left my corporate background and took the plunge into New York freelance and never looked back. I would recommend assisting as much as you can in the beginning and spend time creating and developing your work.

“Growing up in Los Angeles and now being based in New York, how has your lifestyle changed and what draws you most to life in the city?”

I do miss having more access to nature, that is my favorite part of Los Angeles. However even after 12 years, New York still feels like a homecoming. I came here often as a child to visit family.

“Please explain your personal style and some of your go-to accessory brands to wear during summer?”

This summer I've been enjoying long walks in this beautiful weather. Finding comfortable shoes and light bags for endless days in the sun has been a focus. I'm also continuing to build my silver jewelry collection. I love the way it sparkles against my tan skin during these months.

A few accessories that have become staples are: Margiela Tabis, Fendi Baguette, (Vintage) Agmes Cuff, Gemsun Belt.

“When approaching a creative project, what are some of the ways you get inspired?”

I get inspiration from films, archival fashion online or at the library, getting out of the house a little for some people watching and popping into some shops.

“What are your top 3 restaurants for an Al Fresco dining experience in New York?”

That is a hard question to answer in a city like this, If I had to choose three I would say: Altro Paradiso, Via Carota, Lodi ( after the Moma) Saraghina Caffe (after a day at the park), Orsay, and honorable mention would be a friend’s roof or yard for an intimate sunset dinner.

“What feelings or things evoke a sense of Summer to you?”

The smell of fresh grass, the feeling of the sun on my skin, blisters on my feet, freckles on my nose.
